Prior to founding Direction, Francisco served as Chief Financial Officer of the iron ore and steel producer CAP SA and AquaChile, the world's second-largest salmon producer. Prior to that, Francisco worked at the Antofagasta plc group, both at the corporate headquarters and at its subsidiaries Antucoya and Los Pelambres.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Lepeley was a portfolio manager at AIG and MetLife, and also served as an Associate in the New York office of management consulting firm AT Kearney, where he specialized in corporate restructuring, turnarounds, merger integrations, and strategic sourcing for Fortune 500 clients.

Francisco has led multiple equity and debt transactions in international markets, including loans and corporate bonds, and three project financings totaling US$2 billion. Francisco is currently a director of Wealth Minerals Chile, a member of the board of Dreams, and previously served as a director of Alitec Pargua, Benchmark Genetics Chile, Cleanairtech Sudamérica, Tecnocap, and Puerto Las Losas.
